Ultimate Commandos: Version #1
By John
When we arrived at the church Friday evening, everyone was as happy as
ever. With our average hot, spring day attire on, we all packed our gear
into B's truck and soon were ready to go. Now taking into consideration
that the handout given to us for this trip didn't mention anything about
the Pocono Mountains, we froze unsuspectingly. Later, we ate our cracker
barrel (some type of raw beef product) and soon went to bed.
The second day began at a slow pace. We built our structures, poorly I
might add, whipped up ourselves some strategies, and made some honest
traps. Soon we would be ready to go. Though the game started three hours
late, that did not decrease our spirits. My team was assigned the pink
arm bands, while thte other team wore yellow bands. Within twenty-five
minutes of the game, an unfortunate injury occured. Nick (yellow team),
while escaping the pursuit of several from the opposing team, took a bad
spill and needed to get eightt stitches. Later things seemed to slow
down. Generally, what seemed to keep us alive was the fact that Mike
(yellow) kept getting caught. That meant big points.
